STUDENT SERVICES

Placement Assistance

MIM is not able to provide placement assistance for graduates of the program due to the tremendously large geographical area covered. MIM is in the process of designing a "National Referral" System to assist with job opportunities and our working graduates. Our students find great success with opening their own businesses or finding employment with others. MIM does not guarantee employment.

Testing and Grading

To insure that testing is properly administrated, we require that you have a friend or relative (not living in the same household as yourself) agree to sign a notarized agreement with MIM to become your Test Administrator and to administer all tests fairly.
The following scale determines grades received on written exams:
93-100 A GPA 4.0     73-75 C GPA 2.0
90-92 A- GPA 3.7 70-72 C- GPA 1.7
86-89 B+ GPA 3.4 66-69 D+ GPA 1.4
83-85 B GPA 3.0 63-65 D GPA 1.0
80-82 B- GPA 2.7 60-62 D- GPA 0.7
76-79 C+ GPA 2.4 59-00 F No grade

Practical Evaluations

In addition to written examinations, MIM requires students to be tested on their practical application of massage and related techniques. MIM records letter grades.

During the On-Campus Seminars and/or the LTP, written or oral evaluations check progress on student's learning and abilities.

Student Progress

Any student whose GPA falls below 'C' (2.0) MIM places that student on Academic Probation. The student has 3 months to bring their GPA above the "C" (2.0) mark. If the student fails to bring their GPA above 'C'(2.0), within the 3 month time limit, they will be subject to termination.

Inactivity in the program for a period of over 6 months results in termination from the program. An exception may be granted if the student petitions, in writing, for an Academic Hold due to personal hardship. An Academic hold puts their course 'On Hold' for a period of not longer than 6 months, after which the student's file under goes review for reinstatement or termination. There is an automatic termination at the end of the 18 months from the date of the first shipment.

Progress Reports & Transcripts

Successful completion of lessons 1-14 and 15-32 requires a progress report. At the successful completion of lesson 33-50 and all Hands-On training (with a GPA of 2.0 or higher) 2 original transcripts and Graduation Certificate will be issued.

Access to Student Files

Students may request to view their file when present on Campus. Administrative policy states student files are not copied or released to any student for any reason.

Confidentiality of Records

Strict confidentiality of each student is maintained. No other institution has any rights to buy, copy, or review MIM's student database or files.

Any information concerning any student is NOT given to another person or institution without that student's expressed permission, either verbal or written. Students wishing to arrange travel times to Seminars together with other students or any other type of student contact comes at the students' discretion.

DESCRIPTION OF OTHER STUDENT SERVICES

Housing, tutoring, etc.

On-Campus housing is not available, but students attending our On-Campus Seminars use a nearby hotel with very reasonable rates for the full 2 weeks. Tutoring is the responsibility of the student. Contact Student Services for further information.
