CURRICULUM AND HOURS

Our Distance Education Program must meet the demands of the various regulatory entities throughout the United States. In order to accommodate different hourly requirements, MIM shows a wide variety of available hours. We have selected subjects to provide an excellent basic education even for the smallest amount of required hours.

The National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworkers (NCBTMB), a national testing board, requires a minimum of 500 hours of training for any one to sit for the National Certification Exam (NCE). Many states honor the NCE exam passed by the applicant and grant licensor to those who possess the NCBTMB Certificate.

MIM's most popular program (700 hours) consists of 400 theory hours covering 10 areas of study and 300 Hands-On training hours. See the customized chart on page 20 for a listing of the individual and customized programs.
