Become a skilled massage therapist right in your own home. MIM gives you the opportunity to enroll in a systematic, convenient and effective training program without compromising your work and your family. MIM’s basic 540 hour program prepares graduates to sit for the NCBTMB or MBLEx.
*MIM’s 640 hour program includes 440 hours theoretical and 200 hours of in-class training for an estimated cost of $7,500.
*Opt for flexible training seminars and/or regional Instructors in your own area.
Required courses for most states, NCBTMB and MBLEx are Beginning Massage, Ethics, Anatomy, Pathology, Business Practices, Occupational Safety and Hygiene. After required courses, choose additional courses specific to your interests such as AcuTherapy, Polarity, Shiatsu, Introduction to Chinese Meridians, Tunia(Musculoskeletal and/or Systemic), Self Acupressure, Stress Strain, Functional Anatomy, Hydrotherapy, Psycho Soma (Body, Mind and Spirit), etc. Regardless of the requirements of or your area, we recommend the basic, 640-hour program consisting of 440 hours of lecture/academic and 200 hour s of in class instruction.
1) To enroll in MIM's graduate program, prospective students must complete a telephone interview with an admissions office.
2) Applicants must be a least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or the equivalent. Any applicant wishing to apply previously earned credit must submit official transcripts of their education.
